Billing
We’ve updated the look and format of bills and summarized the changes below, along with samples for you to explore the new format.
The primary change you will see is we've reorganized your clients' account structure to include more information and condense locations. On the new bills, the Account Number or Account ID is the previous group number followed by a ten-digit number unique to your clients' billing address. Bills also display new subscriber attributes like Department, Employment Status, Employee Type, Union Status and Benefit Plan. Learn more about the new account structure.
The Excel versions of your clients' bills allow them to pick an attribute and sort the data for that particular category. For example, they can see all subscribers within a particular department or in the same benefit plan.
Samples
The samples below show changes that will be on all new bills. Your clients will continue to receive bills the same way, but they will display the new account structure as the samples show. Learn more about the new account structure.
Some changes to bill processing to note:
You may receive invoices earlier than anticipated due to the transition; however, the due dates will remain the same. Bills you receive after we transition will look different, but the information you need (final amount due, total claims paid, etc.) will still be there.
Online Billing: If you use online billing, new bills will be available online after May 11th. Once your bills are available in the new system you will have one opportunity to make changes, calculate adjustments and approve the new bill. Read-only copies of past bills will be available for up to one year.
Eligibility Updates: To update eligibility, either use the online enrollment form or submit paper enrollment change forms. Eligibility changes will no longer be accepted with invoice payments.
