The Delta Dental Network Advantage
Delta Dental of Virginia members have access to the largest network of dentists in Virginia and nationwide*. We offer two networks: Delta Dental PPO™ and Delta Dental Premier®. Plus, we offer plans that give members access to both of our networks.
The Dual Network Safety Net
Delta Dental gives your employees an added benefit that other carriers can't offer — our dual network safety net. Certain PPO plans allow employees to visit a Delta Dental Premier dentist at a slightly higher out-of-pocket cost. Plans that offer both networks include: Delta Dental PPO plus Premier™, Delta Dental PPO aXcess and Delta Dental PPO Choice.
Your employees' network options will depend on their plan, which appears in the upper right-hand corner of their ID card (as pictured below).
Delta Dental PPO
Delta Dental PPO is our preferred provider organization. Delta Dental PPO provides members with the lowest out-of-pocket costs, because dentists who participate in the PPO network have agreed to accept lower reimbursements for services. The following plans utilize the Delta Dental PPO network.

Delta Dental Premier
Delta Dental Premier is the largest dental network in the nation, with 85% of all dentists in Virginia and 79% nationally*. Delta Dental Premier gives members a wide selection of dentists with economical out-of-pocket costs. With so many dentists in the network, it’s easy to find a dentist that participates. The following plans utilize the Delta Dental Premier network.
